
These are stories from World War II, but not about one mission, one man, or even one “band of brothers” – but about real brothers, cousins, and classmates from one community. Over 3,000 veterans of World War II were connected to that community. Most were born or lived there, the rest were connected by blood or marriage. Here are over three hundred stories about those who died, those who returned, and those who waited for them back home.
